Lord Of My Life is a powerful declaration of Jesus’ lordship, trust in divine guidance, and joyful surrender. This worship song celebrates the privilege of choosing Christ, bowing in worship now rather than waiting for eternity. Its message centers on submission, joy, and eternal hope in Jesus Christ.
VERSE 1
All of my steps are ordered by You
You give every breath that I take
And only a kind God gives power to choose
So it is my privilege to say
CHORUS
You are the Lord , You’re the Lord of my life
You are the Lord, You’re the Lord of my life, Jesus Christ
VERSE 2
Though I may stumble, I will not fall
For I am upheld by Your hand
And even in trial, I’ll count it as joy
To say it again and again
BRIDGE 1
Every knee will bow, every tongue confess
But it’s my joy to do it now, Lord Jesus
Every eye will see You in Your glory
But I get to seek You now, Lord Jesus
BRIDGE 2
And there will be a day, tears will be no more
The angels and saints will worship and adore
I’ll enter Heaven’s gates, forever sing Your Name
But I get to sing it now, Lord Jesus
TAG
Come take Your place, come take Your place
Come take Your place, King Jesus

God Directs Our Steps
“All of my steps are ordered by You” points to the biblical truth that God directs the paths of those who trust in Him. Psalm 37:23 says, “The steps of a man are established by Yahweh, when he delights in his way.” This lyric emphasizes God’s sovereignty and care in guiding His people.
“Only a kind God gives power to choose” reflects the biblical balance of God’s sovereignty and human responsibility. Deuteronomy 30:19 declares, “I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life…” God gives people free will, yet lovingly invites them to choose Him.
“Though I may stumble, I will not fall” echoes Psalm 37:24, “Though he stumble, he shall not fall, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand.” This shows that God’s sustaining grace keeps believers even through weakness.
“Every knee will bow, every tongue confess” is drawn directly from Philippians 2:10–11, which speaks of Christ’s ultimate authority. This lyric acknowledges both a future fulfillment and present devotion.
