Mamasdan Ka is a worship song that expresses the heart’s desire to behold God, experience His love, and dwell in His presence. With themes of longing, nearness, and worship, the song invites listeners into deeper communion with God through prayer and adoration.
Mamasdan ka
Mithi’t dalangin ng puso ko
Mamasdan ka
Ang tanging ninanais ko
Sa puso ay ilapit
Nang maranasan ang pag-ibig mo
Nais kong manahan
Sa piling mo
Mamasdan ang kaluwalhatian mo (mamasdan ka)
Mamasdan ka oh Diyos
Oh
Nais kong manahan (manahan)
Sa piling mo
Mamasdan ang kaluwalhatian mo
Mamasdan ka oh Diyos
Sa puso ay ilapit
Nang maranasan ang pag-ibig mo
Nais kong manahan
Nais kong manahan
Nais kong manahan
Sa piling mo

Longing to Behold God
“Mamasdan ka, mithi’t dalangin ng puso ko” reveals a deep longing to behold God, which reflects the cry of David in Psalm 27:4: “One thing I have asked of Yahweh… that I may dwell in Yahweh’s house all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty.” This desire to gaze upon God shows a personal and worshipful pursuit of His presence.
“Sa puso ay ilapit, nang maranasan ang pag-ibig mo” points to drawing near to God to experience His love. This echoes James 4:8, “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.” It also reflects Romans 5:5, where “God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.” The desire to come close and be filled with His love is biblically grounded.
“Nais kong manahan sa piling mo” expresses the longing to remain in God’s presence. Psalm 84:4 says, “Blessed are those who dwell in your house. They are always praising you.” Dwelling with God is a consistent theme in Scripture that signifies communion and worship.
