I’ve Seen the Lord (Tommy Walker)

VERSE 1
Behold, the stone’s been rolled away
Behold, and do not be afraid
I believe, it’s Jesus I have seen
He conquered death, our victory to bring
And I can’t wait to celebrate

CHORUS
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Risen indeed
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Our hopes have been redeemed
Heaven’s rejoicing, nature is singing
Tell all the nations to start celebrating
I’ve seen the Lord and He’s risen indeed
Oh-oh-oh

VERSE 2
Oh, behold, the stone’s been rolled away
Behold, behold, and do not be afraid
He appeared, said I’m sending you all out
Receive it now, receive the spirit’s power
And I can’t wait, to celebrate

CHORUS
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Risen indeed
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Our hopes have been redeemed
Heaven’s rejoicing, nature is singing
Tell all the nations to start celebrating
I’ve seen the Lord and He’s risen indeed

I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Risen indeed
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Our hopes have been redeemed
Heaven’s rejoicing, nature is singing
Tell all the nations to start celebrating
I’ve seen the Lord and He’s risen indeed

CHORUS 2
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Risen indeed (He’s risen indeed)
I’ve seen the Lord He is risen
Our hopes have been redeemed
(We’ve been redeemed)
Heaven’s rejoicing, nature is singing
Tell all the nations to start celebrating
I’ve seen the Lord, and He’s risen indeed

Heaven’s rejoicing, nature is singing
Tell all the nations to start celebrating
I’ve seen the Lord, and he’s risen indeed

VAMP
He is risen (He is risen)
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
He is risen (He is risen)

He is risen (He is risen)

Mary Magdalene went and announced to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord”–and that he had said these things to her. On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. John 20:18-20

1 Now after the Sabbath, toward the dawn of the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to see the tomb. 2 And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothing white as snow. 4 And for fear of him the guards trembled and became like dead men. 5 But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. 6 He is not here, for he has risen, as he said. Come, see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples that he has risen from the dead, and behold, he is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him. See, I have told you.” 8 So they departed quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Matthew 28:1-8

“I’ve Seen The Lord” was written from John 20:1-18 and is a part of “The Book of John in Song” Bible reading plan and album by Tommy Walker.
