Power in the Name of Jesus

“I just want to speak the name of Jesus” reflects the biblical truth that there is authority, power, and peace in the name of Jesus. Acts 4:12 teaches that salvation is found in no one else, and Philippians 2:9–11 proclaims that every knee will bow at the name of Jesus.

“’Cause I know there is peace within Your presence” points to the promise of peace that comes from Jesus alone. John 14:27 records Jesus saying He gives peace not as the world gives, and Isaiah 26:3 affirms that God keeps in perfect peace those whose minds are fixed on Him.

“Till every dark addiction starts to break” and “Break every stronghold” highlight spiritual deliverance through Jesus. Luke 4:18 reveals that Jesus came to proclaim freedom for the captives, and 2 Corinthians 10:4–5 describes how spiritual strongholds are demolished by divine power.

“Your name is healing, Your name is life” declares Jesus as healer and life-giver. Matthew 4:23 shows Jesus healing all kinds of sickness, and John 11:25 identifies Him as the resurrection and the life.
