VERSE 1
Are you weary? Are you tired?
Are you thirsty deep inside?
There’s a river running wild
Just one drink can satisfy

VERSE 2
Bring the broken, bring the blind
Bring the hopeless, paralyzed
To the river, running wild
Just one drink can satisfy

CHORUS
The Spirit of God will never run dry
So drink from the water it’s an endless supply
Rushing with freedom bursting with life
Oh this Holy water will never run dry

VERSE 3
Bring your burdens, lay them down
Trade them in for, for a crown
In the river, love is wild
Just one drink can satisfy
Just one drink can satisfy

Come on in the water’s fine
The water’s good the water’s kind
It’s Holy – water

VERSE 4

Encounter in the river
Oh – Oh we’re running to the river
We’re dancing in the river

Living Water That Satisfies

“Are you weary? Are you tired?” points to the invitation of Jesus in Matthew 11:28, where He calls the weary to find rest in Him. “Are you thirsty deep inside?” echoes John 7:37-38, where Jesus offers living water to those who thirst, referring to the Holy Spirit. “There’s a river running wild” aligns with Ezekiel 47:9, where the river from God’s temple brings life wherever it flows, symbolizing the Spirit’s life-giving power.

“Bring the broken, bring the blind” reflects Jesus’ mission in Luke 4:18 to heal the brokenhearted and give sight to the blind. “Just one drink can satisfy” draws from John 4:14, where Jesus tells the woman at the well that those who drink the water He gives will never thirst again.

“The Spirit of God will never run dry” is grounded in Isaiah 44:3, where God promises to pour His Spirit out like water on dry ground, highlighting the Spirit’s abundance and sustaining presence. “Bring your burdens, lay them down” relates to 1 Peter 5:7, which encourages believers to cast their cares on God. “Trade them in for a crown” connects to 2 Timothy 4:8, promising a crown of righteousness to those who remain faithful.
