Now Here (Red Rocks Worship)

Now Here celebrates the resurrection power of Jesus, declaring that fear, shame, and defeat disappear in His presence. The lyrics point to Christ’s triumph over death and the joy that rises when He draws near.

VERSE 1
Where was the darkness
When hope was restored
Where was despair
When my God split the shores

Where was defeat
When the Lord took a breath
When He stood in power
By the grave that he left

CHORUS
Nowhere (nowhere)
Nowhere (nowhere)
Nowhere is the fear
When my king resurrects
Nowhere (nowhere)
Nowhere (nowhere)
Nowhere was the doubt
When my king conquered death

VERSE 2
Where was the sorrow
When dry bones arose
And where was the pain
When the sick touched the robe

And where was disgrace
When the King laid to rest
The stronghold of sin
By the grace he possessed

BRIDGE
I see joy rising
I hear hope calling
I see fear hiding
I hear chains falling
I see walls shaking
I hear doubt running
My God’s on his way
Yes, he is coming

CHORUS 2
Here (now here)
Now here (now here)
Now here in his presence
My shame disappears
Now here (now here)
Now here (now here)
I stand undefeated
When Jesus is near

OUTRO
My God’s on his way
My God’s on his way
My God’s on his way
Yes, he is coming

The Power of God’s Presence

“Where was the darkness when hope was restored” points to the truth that light overcomes darkness through Christ. John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” Jesus’ resurrection restored hope by defeating sin and death.

“Where was despair when my God split the shores” recalls God’s deliverance of Israel through the Red Sea (Exodus 14:21), symbolizing how God removes despair by making a way in impossible situations.

“Where was defeat when the Lord took a breath” references Jesus’ resurrection as the moment victory over death was secured. Romans 6:9 affirms, “Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.”

“Nowhere is the fear when my king resurrects” shows that fear is cast out by the reality of Christ’s victory. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”

“I stand undefeated when Jesus is near” reflects Romans 8:37: “In all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
